Last Rise 2007 Newsletter

Dear Angling Friends,
As most of you know, we lost our long time friendly office manager, Sonny Goodman, just prior to this season and he would have been very proud of this past season like he has been for so many years; we'll continue to miss him for a long time. Another good season come and went with everyone happy and it's time to send you my 13th yearly report on it and advise plans for next year. We had very good fishing again and overall we faired better than most rivers in Atlantic Canada despite a very late start and unusual bad weather and varying river conditions throughout the entire season. You will see from the statistics that even though we increased out total fish over last year, some of the weeks ranked different than last year and that's surly a reflection of bad weather and river conditions but most noteworthy is our Big Fish numbers and I am confident this trend will continue with out conservation program in place.

Conversation Plan
We have now completed our 6th year of 100% Catch & release. It is obviously working well for us all and will continue to be mandatory; thanks again for your support on this.
1. All fish must be released by everyone
2. The daily limit per Angler is 4 fish
3. A free farm salmon will be given to each angler by prior request
4. Our staff is only permitted Catch & Release fishing Pre and Post guests' season

Business Plan
We are booking 9 weeks with 10 rods per week for 2008. Weeks 0, 1 and 8 are discounted and weeks 2 thru 7 are evenly valued. On another note, I now wish to officially inform you that I am transferring ownership and management of the club to Eldon & Sherry Jones and Darcy a& Wanda Fequet effective November 1, 2007 over a period of 5 years.
